This is what I will be pretending I am doing on my 14 hour drive through the desert except actually it will just be lots of boring 85 MPH cruise control in a much more pleb unmodified Subaru.
Mmm... shiny.
Rally Outback for your time... New Visa just came in the mail. 4% cash back on gas! (Up to $7k/year spent.) This beats my previous American Express card’s 3%. Also includes damage/collision insurance for any cars I rent with it and roadside assistance. Travel purchases are 3% cash back, so the first thing I did with it is book a one-way plane ticket to Phoenix next month. There I will meet up with my wife (who is driving out earlier in the month) and drive 1,000 miles back home in the Outback while getting 4% cash back on gas the whole way. This all makes it a little less painful when I get the urge to dip into the throttle for no good reason. There are plenty of similar cars out there - some with no annual fee. If you have decent credit and a steady job, I highly recommend getting one even if just for gas purchases.

Yep this one is Costco. Executive member too. My wife buys supplies for the office there and pockets both the credit card and Executive rewards. I’m a little bummed the AMEX went away, because I got a free membership to ShopRunner that I used with it. I think I'm going to apply for that blue card that has 6% on groceries for a $99 annual fee - I should still be able to get back a couple hundred over the fee.

Haha from what I've heard it was a total disaster.... But it was pretty seamless for me.
